The AL12 is a 10-inch anti-limescale water filter cartridge containing polyphosphate media, designed to help reduce the formation of hard limescale deposits in household water systems.
Ideal for areas with hard water, the AL12 helps protect taps, pipes, coffee machines, kettles and other water-using appliances against unwanted calcium deposits.
 
Unlike conventional water softeners, polyphosphate technology does not remove naturally occurring minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Instead, it helps prevent these minerals from forming hard deposits on surfaces and inside appliances.
 
With a service life of up to 12 months, the AL12 offers a simple and economical solution for reducing everyday limescale problems.
 
How Does Polyphosphate Anti-Limescale Filtration Work?
 
The AL12 uses polyphosphate technology to help control the formation of limescale.
As water passes through the cartridge, a controlled amount of polyphosphate dissolves into the water and interacts with calcium and magnesium ions.
This process helps inhibit the formation and accumulation of hard calcium carbonate deposits, reducing the tendency of limescale to build up on surfaces and inside appliances.

Important: The AL12 is an anti-limescale treatment cartridge, not a carbon filter. It is not designed to remove PFAS, pesticides, chlorine or bacteria.
